Role Overview
The Input Trade Marketer will be responsible for marketing agricultural inputs including seeds, fertilizers, animal health products, fencing, and related materials. Based in Underberg, the successful candidate will drive growth and profitability by developing marketing strategies, managing client relationships, and expanding the business footprint through networking and customer engagement initiatives.
Key Responsibilities

Develop and implement marketing strategies for core input products across the VKB operational area.

Focus on driving profitability and growth by exceeding inflation-adjusted performance targets.

Facilitate client financing for chemical products in collaboration with internal teams.

Represent VKB at farmer days and agricultural events, actively growing the brand presence and customer base.

Conduct regular on-site visits to farmers to sustain strong, trust-based relationships.

Handle customer complaints and service issues efficiently to ensure a high level of satisfaction.

Maintain consistent communication with internal departments and stakeholders to ensure seamless order fulfilment and admin processes.
Qualifications and Experience
-
Grade 12 / NQF Level 4 minimum requirement.

Tertiary qualification in agriculture, marketing, or a related field (required).

AVCASA certification or similar agricultural accreditation (advantageous).

At least 5 years’ experience in agricultural marketing, preferably within inputs like animal feed, seed, or chemical products.

Proven track record in achieving sales growth and market expansion.

Strong administrative skills and experience in animal health product marketing preferred.
