Role Overview
This is a 12-month graduate programme that offers an exciting opportunity for you to support various research and development projects within Tiger Brands. You will gain practical work experience, honing your skills and gaining valuable insights into your chosen career path. The programme is designed to give you a head start in your professional development, allowing you to work alongside a cross-functional team to achieve business objectives and complete key projects.
Key Responsibilities
As a Workplace Experience Student in Research and Development, you will have the opportunity to take ownership of tasks and projects, contributing to the success of the company. Some of your key responsibilities will include:

Support project work: Assist with ongoing research and development initiatives within the team.

Problem-solving: Use your critical thinking and problem-solving skills to help overcome challenges.

Collaborative work: Work alongside a cross-functional team to complete a Work Integrated Learning project assigned by your Line Manager.

On-the-job experience: Gain practical, hands-on work experience aligned with your career aspirations.

Additional responsibilities: Assist with other duties as requested to help achieve the company’s business objectives.
What You’ll Bring to the Table
You are the ideal candidate for this programme if you:

Are currently in your final year of studies or have completed a relevant Bachelor’s degree in Food Sciences.

Are a South African citizen and based in the city of hire (Bryanston).

Have a Safety qualification related to your field of study.
-
Have not worked full-time (more than one year) in your field of study.

Possess strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work as part of a team.

Are eager to gain experience and knowledge in research and development.
Essential Skills & Qualifications

Educational Requirements: A Bachelor’s degree in Food Sciences (or similar field).

Experience: No more than one year of full-time work experience in your field of study.
