Role Overview
The Regional Marketer – Forestry Equipment will focus on promoting and selling forestry equipment to Forestry Companies, Forestry Contractors, and related businesses in the KZN region. This role requires the successful candidate to visit clients, assess their specific needs, present relevant products, and follow up on all sales processes. The primary goal is to drive business growth by strategically marketing John Deere forestry equipment and expanding the customer base through consistent relationship-building and sales excellence.
Key Responsibilities
Marketing and Sales Management

Sales Growth: The Regional Marketer will be responsible for meeting and exceeding sales targets by selling John Deere forestry equipment to forestry businesses, contractors, and related sectors. You will be tasked with creating compelling sales presentations, negotiating deals, and closing transactions.

Client Interaction: Regularly visit current and potential clients to present products, assess their needs, and develop tailored solutions. Building and nurturing long-term client relationships is key to ensuring repeat business and referrals.

Market Research: Continuously evaluate the market to identify potential customers, understand the competitive landscape, and track industry trends to make informed marketing and sales decisions.
Procurement and Stock Control

Inventory Management: Oversee the procurement and stock control of forestry equipment. Ensure that the products are available to meet customer demands, and that stock levels are maintained efficiently.

Product Knowledge: Maintain an in-depth understanding of all products, particularly John Deere forestry equipment, and their unique selling points. The ability to explain product features, benefits, and technical specifications is crucial in influencing customer decisions.
Administration and Reporting

Sales Documentation: Manage the administrative aspects of sales, including order processing, invoicing, and maintaining accurate records of all client interactions and transactions.

Reporting: Prepare regular reports on sales performance, customer feedback, and market conditions. This includes tracking sales goals, forecasting, and updating management on business development strategies.
Requirements
Education and Experience

Grade 12 qualification is essential.

A Relevant Sales or Marketing Qualification is highly preferred.

Valid Driverβs License is required.

Minimum of 3 years of business, sales, and marketing experience, with a proven track record of success.

Demonstrated experience in marketing and selling forestry equipment and knowledge of the C&F industry is an advantage.
