Role Overview:
The Area Marketer will focus on engaging with local automotive workshops to promote the Castrol mobile app, register mechanics, and ensure proper app usage through on-the-spot training and ongoing support. This includes field visits, customer interaction, accurate data collection, promotional distribution, and participation in team meetings. This is a high-energy, field-based role requiring a proactive approach and strong interpersonal and sales skills.

Key Responsibilities:

Mechanic Engagement and App Registration:

  • Visit assigned automotive workshops daily within your territory.

  • Register mechanics on the Castrol App during visits and provide app demonstrations.

  • Educate users on features, benefits, and practical applications of the app.

  • Gather immediate feedback from mechanics and workshop teams regarding user experience.

Data Collection and Reporting:

  • Use internal systems to input accurate data (mechanic details, registration proof, feedback, and KPIs).

  • Provide daily updates and reports to project supervisors on registrations and outcomes.

Promotional Activities:

  • Distribute marketing materials, such as Z-cards and promotional flyers, during visits.

  • Represent the Castrol brand in a positive and professional manner.

  • Act as a brand ambassador, increasing awareness and trust within the automotive community.

Logistics and Field Preparedness:

  • Utilize provided tools such as WiFi devices, power banks, and FastScan-branded uniforms.

  • Troubleshoot challenges like poor connectivity or device issues during app registration.

  • Plan daily visits to ensure efficiency and meet set daily/monthly targets.

Team Collaboration:

  • Attend weekly meetings with clients and internal project teams to discuss feedback and strategy.

  • Engage in ongoing training sessions for product knowledge, app updates, and field engagement techniques.

Qualifications and Experience:

Minimum Requirements:

  • Valid driver’s license with access to a reliable vehicle

Desirable Skills and Knowledge:

  • Strong tech aptitude, including mobile app familiarity

  • Competence in customer relationship tools and digital reporting systems

  • Background in app sales, mobile technology, or the automotive industry is a significant advantage

  • Computer literate with proficiency in MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook)
