Key Responsibilities
As a Firefighter with Fidelity Services Group, your duties will include:

Responding to Emergencies: Actively respond to fire incidents, rescues, hazardous substance emergencies, and related humanitarian incidents.

Firefighting Operations: Operate various firefighting equipment and machinery to control and extinguish fires effectively.

Rescue Operations: Extricate casualties and provide basic medical care to injured persons under the guidance of senior officers.

Fire Protection: Assist in fire prevention duties to protect lives and property.

Training: Participate in fire safety training, drills, and physical fitness exercises, while training others on fire-related protocols and safety procedures.

Maintenance and Safety: Perform routine checks and maintenance on equipment and vehicles to ensure readiness for emergency operations. Complete health and safety inspections as required.

Record Keeping: Maintain computerized logs, complete documentation, and participate in safety meetings.

Supervisory Duties: Assist with the supervision and management of firefighting staff, ensuring compliance with safety regulations.
Qualifications and Experience

Education: Grade 12 as a minimum school qualification.

Certifications:

IFSAC Accreditation
-
NFPA 1001 Firefighter II Certification
-
Firefighting training with 2β3 years of relevant experience.

Licensing: Valid Code C1 driverβs license with PrDP. Advanced driving experience is advantageous.

Physical Fitness: Must be medically and physically fit for emergency situations.

Hazmat and EMT Experience: Knowledge of hazardous materials (Hazmat) and Emergency Medical Technician (EMT) certification is essential.

First Aid: First Aid levels 1 to 3 certification.

Criminal Record: Must have a clear criminal record.

Fire Prevention and Systems Knowledge: A solid understanding of fire prevention procedures and firefighting systems, including fire classes and chemistry.

Hazmat Expertise: Sound understanding of hazardous material guidelines.

Security Industry Knowledge: Familiarity with security industry regulations and the ability to act within the group’s code of conduct.
