Job Description

The Stock Controller is responsible for coordinating the incoming stock (receiving, GRNing, and merchandising), maintaining optimum stock levels, and ensuring the right range for the business. The role involves monitoring stock performance and managing stock variances.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Check Reports: Regularly monitor stock and cost reports.
  • Manage Supplier Returns: Oversee returns of stock to suppliers.
  • Maintain Stock: Keep cycle counters and bin locations up to date.
  • Investigate Bad Risk Stock: Review and manage slow-moving or poor-performing stock.
  • Stock Take: Participate in regular stock takes and manage stock performance.
  • Run Reports: Generate reports for no-stock/no-demand and deletion.
  • Monitor and Provide Variance Data: Ensure stock variances are tracked and reported.

Job Requirements

  • Grade 12 (essential)
  • 3 years stock control experience, or
  • Certificate in Retailing (NQF 5) or
  • Certificate in Retail Operations Management (NQF 5)
