Join Constantia Kunsmis as an Agronomist
Constantia Kunsmis, a division of TWK Agri, is looking for an experienced Agronomist to join their team. This role offers an exciting opportunity to apply agronomy expertise in the Mpumalanga province, working with farmers and distributors to optimize crop production through effective soil and crop management practices.
Key Responsibilities
✔ Soil Sampling & Analysis – Conduct soil sampling, testing, and analysis to assess nutrient levels.
✔ Crop Nutrition Plans – Develop and implement fertilizer application plans to optimize plant health and yield.
✔ Field Trials – Design and manage field trials to test new products and agronomic practices.
✔ Technical Support – Provide advice on soil management, nutrient needs, and sustainable farming practices.
✔ Product Testing – Assist with product testing and analyze trial data.
✔ Farmer Support – Conduct farm visits to diagnose crop health issues and recommend solutions.
✔ Training & Workshops – Provide training on fertilizer application and crop management.
✔ Sales Team Support – Assist the sales team with technical expertise and client inquiries.
✔ Industry Representation – Represent the company at trade shows, conferences, and client meetings.
Qualifications
✔ BSc in Agronomy or similar
✔ Additional Certification – BASOS qualified (AVCASA Beneficial)
✔ Experience – Minimum of 5 years as an Agronomist or in an agricultural advisory role
✔ Knowledge – Experience with field trials, soil analysis, crop production, and the fertilizer industry
✔ Skills – Analytical skills, problem-solving, and communication with farmers and clients
✔ Knowledge of Mpumalanga’s Agriculture – Understanding the region’s diverse climates and soil types
