We are currently looking for a driven and results-oriented Outbound Department Manager to join our LLS Warehouse in Centurion. This role presents an exciting opportunity for someone passionate about warehouse operations, order fulfillment, and leading high-performing teams.

Purpose of the Role

As an Outbound Department Manager, you will be responsible for optimizing dispatch duties and managing operational outbound logistics. You will ensure the timely and accurate dispatch of orders, maintaining seamless coordination across the outbound flow of goods while ensuring operational efficiency and quality control.

Key Responsibilities

Team Management

  • Manage a team to ensure productivity, task completion, and adherence to schedules.
  • Coach and train staff to improve performance and skills development.
  • Ensure effective team coverage for consistent operational performance.

Quality Control

  • Oversee the accuracy and quality of orders dispatched.
  • Ensure stock rotation follows First In, First Out (FIFO) and Last In, First Out (LIFO) principles to reduce waste.

Dispatch and Communication

  • Ensure the timely and accurate dispatch of orders to meet customer expectations.
  • Foster clear and prompt communication with internal teams, planners, suppliers, and other stakeholders.

Job Requirements

  • Education:

    • Grade 12 or equivalent (NQF Level 4).
    • Tertiary education is an advantage.
  • Experience:

    • 3-10 years of experience in a retail or logistics environment, with a focus on warehouse operations, inventory management, and despatching.
    • Proven leadership and team management experience in a fast-paced environment.
  • Skills & Competencies:

    • Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
    • Ability to work efficiently in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.
    • Proficiency in inventory management systems.
    • Strong decision-making skills with an analytical mindset.
    • Ability to manage both internal and outsourced teams.
    • Ability to make data-driven decisions to improve operations.
  • Availability:

    • Must be able to work shifts and alternate weekends.
    • Available to open the warehouse at 06:00 AM daily.
