Job Overview

Servest, a world-class leader in the Integrated Facilities Management Industry, is seeking a dynamic and driven Greenskeeper to join their team at Wild Coast Sun Golf Course in KwaZulu-Natal. This role, reporting to the Contract Executive in the Landscaping & Turf Business Unit, offers a fantastic opportunity for those passionate about the golf industry and turf management.

Minimum Requirements

✅ South African citizen.
✅ Grade 12 (Matric).
✅ Clear criminal record.
✅ Turf grass qualification & Horticulture Diploma.
✅ Valid un-endorsed driver’s license (Code B).
✅ At least 5-8 years of experience in golf course maintenance.
✅ Computer literate with strong report writing skills.
✅ Well-groomed with the ability to communicate professionally with clients.
✅ Deadline-driven and passionate about the golf industry.
✅ Sound knowledge of equipment used in golf course maintenance.
✅ Detailed understanding of golf & turf construction.
✅ Knowledge of fertilizer, pesticides, and herbicides.

Duties & Responsibilities

• Manage golf course processes such as mowing, trimming, top dressing, treating turf, bunker maintenance, hole changing, and hedge trimming.
• Lead and manage a team for the daily upkeep of the golf course, ensuring efficiency and high standards.
• Ensure machine maintenance schedules are adhered to and operate golf course equipment.
• Promote workplace safety and environmental practices.
• Maintain turf quality through fertilizing, spraying herbicides and pesticides, and other applications.
• Prepare the course for special events and daily inspections of greens.
• Comply with Occupational health & safety standards and implement measures to optimize turf conditions.
• Display attention to detail and a passion for the turf grass and green industry.
