Boxer Superstores is seeking a dedicated Food and Safety Officer to join our team at the East London Distribution Centre. As a Food Safety Officer, you will collaborate with the Food Safety Manager to ensure food safety compliance, uphold the highest standards, and prioritize customer safety. This is a vital role where you will directly contribute to maintaining the food safety protocols across all Boxer stores and distribution channels.

Minimum Requirements:
- National Diploma or 3-Year Degree in Food Science or Food Safety
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in food safety
- Strong knowledge of food safety and hygiene policies, as well as relevant regulations and systems
- Familiarity with FDCA, HACCP, PAS96, and PRP
- Excellent communication, problem-solving, and interpersonal skills
- Proficiency in computer software with a sharp attention to detail
- A proactive, deadline-driven approach to work
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Develop and Implement Policies: Research, develop, and implement comprehensive food safety policies in line with regulatory standards, after obtaining approval.
- External Relations: Build and maintain effective relationships with external stakeholders, particularly with the Department of Health for safety reports.
- Risk Management: Identify, evaluate, and document food safety risks, staying updated on food safety regulations and acting accordingly.
- Administer Food Safety Processes: Compile and manage food safety reports, ensuring compliance across all levels.
- Enhance Compliance: Conduct self-inspections, audits, and develop proactive training initiatives to continuously improve food safety standards.
- Incident Investigations: Investigate food-related complaints and incidents, determine the root causes, and implement corrective actions to address any safety concerns.
