Purpose of the Job
The Trainee Accountant – SAICA Training Contract offers a fantastic opportunity to complete your South African Institute of Chartered Accountants (SAICA) training contract through the Shoprite Trainee Accountant Programme. This programme is designed to develop the future leaders of the accounting profession by providing on-the-job training, mentorship, and the academic support needed to prepare for the SAICA Assessment of Professional Competence (APC) exam. Upon completing the programme, trainees are positioned to become successful Chartered Accountants (CAs).
Throughout the training period, participants will gain valuable exposure across various business areas, and training will be tailored to meet individual development needs.
Qualifications
Essential:
- Final year student enrolled in a Postgraduate Diploma in Accounting (PGDA), Certificate in Theory of Accounting (CTA), or Honours in Accounting at a relevant SAICA-accredited university.
- Alternatively, candidates who have already graduated with Honours in Accounting, PGDA, or CTA and are eligible to write or have passed the SAICA ITC board exam.
