Job Purpose
The Department Manager for Customer Relations (CRM) will be responsible for ensuring exceptional customer service and managing a team of Customer Assistants. The role includes contributing to the overall department results, managing daily sales and customer relations, and developing the team to meet strategic business objectives.
Main Responsibilities
- Lead and support a team of Customer Assistants.
- Contribute to collective team performance and ensure communication within the team.
- Develop the team to align with strategic business objectives.
- Manage day-to-day sales and customer relations.
- Build and implement the Business Action Plan for the department.
- Introduce efficiency and improvement measures to optimize returns and stakeholder value.
- Ensure customer promises are met in day-to-day operations.
- Coordinate and contribute to in-store sales activities.
- Foster quality customer relationships, both internally and externally.
- Assume leadership in the absence of the Head of Department (HOD).
- Ensure the store has optimal staffing to deliver excellent customer service.
- Train and develop staff members to ensure quality service and productivity.
Job Requirements
- Minimum Qualification: Matric or NQF4 Equivalent
- Preferred Qualification: Relevant tertiary qualification
- Experience: Previous retail experience at a junior management level
