Position Summary
Nestlé, the global leader in food and beverage, is seeking a Transport Hub Lead to oversee transportation strategies and operational excellence. This role ensures alignment with business objectives, develops cost-effective and service improvement initiatives, and builds a sustainable, high-performing transportation hub team.
Key Responsibilities
- Strategic Implementation:
- Champion and maintain transportation strategies outlined in Transportation Management L2, including Freight Procurement, Planning, Execution, and Continuous Improvement.
- Leadership and Development:
- Empower associates and supervisors to achieve operational excellence.
- Lead recruitment and succession planning for a sustainable, forward-thinking team.
- Cost Optimization:
- Develop and implement total delivered cost savings initiatives through collaboration with supply chain and production partners.
- Performance Improvement:
- Drive service and performance enhancements by working closely with customer-facing supply chain and sales teams.
- Industry Representation:
- Act as Nestlé Transportation’s representative in industry collaborations and benchmarking initiatives.
- Best Practices Sharing:
- Participate in above-market activities to share best practices and develop transportation management competencies across regions.
Requirements
- Education:
- Bachelor’s degree or higher in Supply Chain or Economics.
- Experience:
- 10+ years of experience in transportation, supply chain, or procurement.
- Proven track record in thought leadership and business transformation.
- Experience with frontline labor interaction and management.
- Familiarity with multiple supply chain functions.
- Skills:
- Strong leadership and stakeholder management capabilities.
- Expertise in cost and performance optimization strategies.
