Store Manager – Power Fashion (Eastgate)

Location: East Gate, Johannesburg, Gauteng, South Africa


Job Purpose

To lead a team of associates to maximize store sales and turnover, manage stock and expenses, minimize stock loss, and ensure smooth store operations while fostering a positive customer and employee experience.


Key Responsibilities

1. Sales and Profitability

  • Drive sales and promote a high-performance culture to achieve and exceed store targets.
  • Manage expenses effectively to meet business objectives.
  • Utilize store resources to maintain productivity and efficiency.

2. Stock and Loss Management

  • Maintain control over stock levels, ensuring compliance with company policies and procedures.
  • Minimize stock losses by adhering to benchmarks and implementing preventative measures.
  • Demonstrate a thorough knowledge of stock management policies.

3. Team Leadership and Training

  • Manage, train, and develop store staff to align with company standards.
  • Foster a respectful and professional working environment that reflects company values.
  • Promote a culture of accountability and continuous improvement.

4. Customer Service

  • Ensure all interactions with customers result in above-average service levels.
  • Actively monitor and address customer feedback to enhance service quality.

5. Operational Standards

  • Act as the custodian of company policies and procedures, ensuring full compliance.
  • Maintain cleanliness and hygiene standards in the store and among staff, adhering to relevant laws and company policies.

Qualifications and Experience

  • Education: Matric/Grade 12 (Mathematics advantageous).
  • Experience:
    • Minimum 2 years in a Retail Store Manager or Assistant Store Manager role, preferably in a similar retail environment.
  • Skills:
    • Excellent business English (verbal and written).
    • Strong leadership, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
