Position Overview
Henwil Chickens is seeking a Store Assistant for the Maintenance Department. The ideal candidate should have knowledge of maintenance spares, demonstrate exceptional attention to detail, and possess strong organizational skills to manage storeroom operations effectively.
Key Responsibilities
- Job Card Management: Create job cards as needed.
- Stock Issuance and Recordkeeping: Issue maintenance spares/tools and ensure accurate recordkeeping.
- Stock Monitoring: Manage and monitor stock levels to maintain adequate supply.
- Stock Take Participation: Assist with monthly stock audits.
- Workshop Assistance: Provide help inside and outside the workshop as required.
- Storeroom Housekeeping: Maintain cleanliness and organization in the storeroom.
- Compliance and Support: Carry out instructions from the Stock Controller and ensure adherence to policies.
- General Tasks: Perform any other reasonable duties assigned.
- Availability: Must be willing to work overtime when required.
Minimum Requirements
- Education: Grade 12 qualification is mandatory.
- Experience: Previous storeroom experience is advantageous.
- Knowledge: Familiarity with maintenance spares and tools.
- Licenses: A valid forklift license is advantageous.
- Skills:
- Computer literacy.
- Good communication abilities.
- Strong attention to detail.
- Ability to work under pressure and without supervision.
- Self-motivated and honest.
