Position Overview
Dis-Chem Pharmacies is looking for experienced Cashiers to join the team at their Greystone Crossing store. This role involves supporting customer service at the point of sale and delivering a world-class shopping experience. You will ensure accurate and secure processing of customer transactions in compliance with company policies and standard operating procedures.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver exceptional customer service in line with Dis-Chem’s policies and standards.
- Build professional relationships with customers and address their queries.
- Report customer compliments and complaints to supervisors or store management.
- Maintain awareness of promotions and sales to assist customers effectively.
- Process purchases, refunds, and loyalty card benefits accurately.
- Safeguard cash, handle daily takings confidentially, and ensure compliance with security policies.
- Ensure that transactions are accurate, and outgoing stock/items/scripts are scanned and paid for.
- Follow company procedures for handling returns, merchandise exchanges, and voided items.
- Monitor and report suspicious behavior to management.
Qualifications and Experience
Essential:
- Matric/Grade 12 certificate.
- Minimum of 6 months’ cashier/till operations experience.
- Proficient in MS Office.
- Strong numerical and English communication skills.
Advantageous:
- Proficiency in a third language.
