Role Overview

The successful candidate will be responsible for preparing and serving beverages, snacks, and food, either directly to customers or through waitstaff. Key responsibilities include maintaining a clean and organized bar, managing stock, and ensuring each guest has a memorable experience.

Key Responsibilities

  1. Customer Interaction:
    • Greet and thank guests, displaying a positive and proactive attitude.
    • Present menus, provide recommendations, and promote daily specials.
    • Take orders promptly, ensuring orders are accurate and entered into the POS system.
  2. Bar Management:
    • Keep the bar area neat and organized, replenishing stock as needed.
    • Prepare and submit stock requisitions, ensuring sufficient stock rotation.
    • Ensure fridges are adequately stocked and maintain records of inventory.
  3. Order Fulfillment:
    • Serve beverages and food items promptly and professionally.
    • Handle customer complaints effectively, recording issues in a complaint log.
    • Follow up on any kitchen delays and communicate order status to guests.
  4. Payment & Accountability:
    • Process payments accurately, maintaining accountability for sales.
    • Record any breakages or wastage and adhere to company procedures.
    • Reconcile sales at the end of each shift and disclose any shortages.
  5. Additional Duties:
    • Ensure the service area is clean and tidy for the next shift.
    • Complete ad hoc tasks as needed to support the team.

Minimum Requirements

  • Experience: Prior experience in the service industry.
  • Bonus Skills: Experience with POS systems and stock management.
