Job Description:

As a Store Manager at BUCO Blackheath, you will be responsible for the growth, profitability, and smooth operation of the store. Your key focus will be managing costs, maximizing sales, and identifying new business opportunities. You’ll work closely with the Operations Executive and Regional Operations Manager to translate business objectives into operational plans.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Profitability & Growth: Drive sales and returns, manage costs, and take calculated risks for new business opportunities.
  • Planning & Budgeting: Develop and implement the store’s operating plan.
  • Procurement & Stock Control: Ensure smooth inward logistics, optimal stock levels, and adherence to procurement policies.
  • Financial Management: Monitor financial processes and control budgets.
  • Customer Service: Address customer complaints, coordinate promotions, and manage public relations.
  • Operations Management: Oversee day-to-day store operations, administration, and employee management.
  • Operational Analysis: Diagnose operational issues and work with the support team to enhance successes and resolve problems.
  • People Management: Lead, motivate, and manage staff while maintaining a harmonious work environment.
  • Legislative Compliance: Ensure adherence to relevant legislation and company policies.

Job Requirements:

  • Education:
    • Grade 12
    • Commerce Bachelor’s Degree / Equivalent experience (preferred)
    • Financial or Management diploma (preferred)
  • Experience:
    • 5-10 years of retail experience
    • Minimum 3 years in a junior-mid management role
    • Industry-related experience (preferred)
  • Skills & Knowledge:
    • Financial acumen
    • Inward and Outward Logistics/Procurement skills
    • Merchandising principles
    • Knowledge of Occupational Health and Safety Act (preferred)
