Resilience Aviation is seeking suitable candidates for the position of Technical Manager, based at our offices in Rosebank.

Job purpose
The technical manager reports to the CEO and has to ensure, that all Resilience Aviation aircraft are maintained according to SA CAA Part-145 requirements and SACAA Part 121 and SACATS PART 135, Subpart 6.02.3(3), regulations and to the required Resilience Aviation standard with regards to safety, quality and commercial requirements.
Duties and responsibilities
Ensure that the maintenance program is always applied in the maintenance sector.
Ensure applicability and embodiment of mandatory AD’s and assess and approve non mandatory modifications and embodiments.
Ensure the reporting of technical incidents and major discrepancies to the authorities.
Approval of scheduled maintenance extension within the scope of SACAA AIC 61.15
Ensure the storage of records of all maintenance related forms according to SACAA Part 145 regulation.
Approval and tracking of DDL-Items and deferred defects.
Ensure the validity of all maintenance documents used by Resilience Aviation.
Verify the technical log entries after completion of work carried out on Resilience Aviation’s aircraft.
Evaluation of new or released technical documents for applicability.
Technical evaluation of new aircraft to join Resilience fleet.
Evaluation of all technical, safety relevant incidents in accordance with the SA CAR 12.02.2
He is responsible for the reporting of un-airworthy defects encountered during operation of
the aircraft by Resilience, to the SACAA.[/list]
Qualifications include:
• Grade 12 exemption
• AME license
• Skills Required
• Good Communication skills

• Quality assurance qualification
• Minimum of 5 years’ experience as an active AME
• Approval by the SACAA
