Job Description
As a Product Consultant for HP, your main responsibility is to ensure the effective promotion and representation of HP products in retail stores across the Western Cape. You will handle in-store merchandising, maintain product displays, and engage customers by conducting product demonstrations. Weekend activations, relationship building with store personnel, and adherence to HP’s brand standards are critical to this role.
Key Responsibilities:
- Store Placement: Ensure HP products are well-represented in assigned retail stores according to HP’s retail structure.
- Policy Adherence: Follow store policies and guidelines, ensuring compliance with regulations and standards.
- Weekly Meetings: Report to the Area Manager weekly for feedback, plans, and material handovers.
- Weekend Activations: Participate in weekend activations to promote HP products and engage with customers.
- Execution Excellence: Maintain top visibility for HP products in stores through merchandising and price ticket accuracy.
- Price Ticket Maintenance: Ensure accurate pricing for both promotional and non-promotional periods.
- Merchandising Execution: Implement merchandising according to HP and retailer guidelines, ensuring consistency and quality.
- Relationship Building: Build strong relationships with store staff to foster support for HP products.
- Professionalism: Follow a professional dress code as supplied by HP, presenting a polished image in-store.
- Demonstrations & Engagement: Perform demonstrations to highlight key product features, engaging customers in-store.
- Hygiene & Maintenance: Keep demo products clean and presentable.
- Event Support: Assist retailers during store-related events when HP is involved, ensuring successful promotional activities.
Qualifications and Skills:
- Education: High school diploma required; additional training in sales or marketing is preferred.
- Experience: Previous experience in retail sales, customer service, or brand promotion preferred.
- Skills:
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills for customer and retailer engagement.
- Presentation skills to showcase products effectively.
- Detail-oriented with a focus on high-quality execution.
- Ability to work independently in a fast-paced retail environment.
