Job Description
Reporting to the CEO, you will be required to manage all aspects of Bacteriology and Quality Assurance from raw material to processed products, all laboratory testing and findings, statistical analysis, assessment and updating of quality systems, procedures as well as methods and processes for compliance with quality specifications and customer requirements. Prepare, monitor and control the departmental budget to incorporate into the annual operating plan (AOP).
support Operations Manager with problems, factory quality, supply and distribution of products
in conjunction with Systems Manager, Hygiene Specialist, Micro and Lab staff prepare and update all raw materials and finished goods quality release specifications whilst tracking lot traceability, product release and item transfers
ensure consumables are ordered on time and is aligned with budget
implement and maintain a statistical analysis and process control program to continually manage and improve the quality of products
establish the HACCP risk analysis procedure to proactively maintain in-process HACCP system for all new and processed products
encourage and manage interactive involvement by all Quality staff.
ensure that planned testing is according to risk assessed method to ensure food safety, GMP and plant hygiene
monitor and respond to customer complaints and requirements
observing and enforcing quality rules and practices
report on laboratory non-conformances
conduct daily and monthly reports
conduct lab work for micro and chemical testing
ensure efficient problem solving according to CAR
Prepare for, coordinate and manage customer, quality, and regulatory facility and quality systems audits; monitor and maintain the corrective and preventive action program for troubleshooting production concerns and customer product issues; ensure all quality records and systems are updated and meet GFSI (Global Food Safety Initiative) standards and requirements.
