About the Role:

The Sales Administration Manager will support the Sales Administration Process for new vehicles by providing administrative and logistical support to the sales team. This includes ensuring efficient order processing, accurate record-keeping, and timely communication with customers. The role requires excellent organizational skills and a deep understanding of the truck sales industry. The position reports directly to the Sales and Logistics Manager of Volvo Group Southern Africa and is based at their headquarters.

Job Objectives:

  • Manage truck sales orders efficiently, ensuring accuracy and compliance with company policies.
  • Facilitate proper communication between sales administration, executives, sales support, and logistics departments for smooth order processing and delivery.
  • Verify sales order accuracy, including truck specifications, pricing, and customer information for invoice approvals.
  • Track and monitor sales administration performance, generating reports for management.
  • Review and approve purchase orders for sales-related items, ensuring compliance with company policies and budgets.
  • Record sales commissions for payout by management approval.
  • Maintain up-to-date customer and truck sales records in the CRM system.
  • Support the sales admin team through training, development, and fostering a culture of continuous improvement.
  • Maintain and support truck sales systems, including vehicle invoicing and performing quarterly access checks for audits.

Qualification & Experience:

  • Minimum: Matric / any tertiary qualification.
  • Project management and planning skills.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in the commercial truck industry.
  • General understanding of the truck market.
  • Experience in the preparation and presentation of product information.
  • Good negotiation skills.

Key Competencies:

  • A true team player with strong interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Competence in digital tools, including Office 365 and Volvo Group systems.
  • Strong decision-making, initiative, and problem-solving skills.
  • Flexibility and time management skills to handle changing deadlines and priorities.
  • Fluent in English, both written and verbal.
  • Good knowledge of the market and customers.

  • Travel Required: Occasional.
