This role is designed to provide technical training and diagnostic services, enabling the successful candidate to gain valuable hands-on experience in the motor industry while working under the supervision of experienced technicians.
Job Purpose:
To deliver high-quality technical and diagnostic services in accordance with predefined work objectives and standard operating procedures (SOPs). The apprentice will be responsible for learning and applying solutions to operational issues, ensuring work is done accurately and efficiently to meet service level agreements.
Key Responsibilities:
- Apply problem-solving skills to resolve known operational issues and escalate unresolved matters.
- Meet performance targets and service quality standards as set by the dealership.
- Report on work activities to support decision-making within the branch.
- Execute tasks in line with compliance and governance procedures to minimize financial risks.
- Deliver excellent service to both internal and external customers, ensuring their satisfaction.
- Participate in training programs to improve technical abilities and overall job performance.
- Assist assigned technicians and gain practical experience in diagnostics and repairs.
- Follow a structured training program in line with your logbook requirements.
Qualifications and Experience:
- Educational Requirements: A National Senior Certificate with pure Mathematics and Physical Science.
- Additional Certification: Higher Certificates or Advanced National (Vocational) Certificates (NQF Level 04).
- Experience: 1 year of relevant experience in the automotive environment.
- License: A valid South African driver’s license is required.
