As a Contract Logistics Industrial Engineer, you will be part of the Southern Africa & Islands (SAI) Maersk Contract Logistics (MCL) team, focusing on developing best-in-class processes and driving efficiency in warehousing, distribution, and cold storage operations.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop best-in-class Contract Logistics processes and standards in the SAI Area.
• Apply lean principles and Six Sigma methodologies to improve space utilization, product flow, and processes for efficiency and cost savings.
• Collaborate across Business Units to foster a strong change management culture.
• Support MCL team to develop and implement KPIs to aid performance management.
• Drive and implement global standards for smooth handover to operational teams.
• Develop Subject Matter expertise (SME) in Contract Logistics processes.

Who We Are Looking For

• Qualification: Industrial Engineering
• Experience: 3-5 years in Logistics and Supply Chain Management.
• Knowledge of Lean principles or Six Sigma methodology.
• Experience: Physical logistics, warehousing processes, developing SOPs, and working with Warehouse Management Systems (WMS).
• Experience in AutoCAD layout development.
• Strong collaboration, communication, and change management skills.
• Self-starter and fast-learner with the ability to work under minimal supervision.
• Strong data analysis and MS Office skills.
• Fluent in English with strong speaking and writing skills.
