Description:

The Safety Officer will be responsible for identifying hazards, conducting risk management, and ensuring safety across all aviation operations. Key responsibilities include:

• Conduct risk management analyses and identify root causes of hazards, incidents, and accidents.
• Ensure effective safety risk mitigation and maintain internal safety data systems.
• Monitor and analyze trends in safety data, ensuring corrective actions are implemented and effective.
• Investigate incidents and accidents and collaborate with the training department to ensure safety training for employees.
• Implement and monitor the organizational Emergency Response Plan and aviation safety program.
• Conduct audits and supervise safety-related matters concerning external stakeholders.

Requirements:

• Education: Grade 12 or equivalent.
• Experience: Minimum 2 years’ experience in aviation safety program management.
• Broad operational knowledge in airline functions, flight principles, and aircraft maintenance.
• Essential Certifications:
  • Accident and Incident Investigation
  • Safety Management Systems for Aviation
  • Lead Auditor
  • Train the Trainer
• Fully computer literate (MS Office).
• Strong understanding of aviation safety regulations and human factors in aviation.
• Knowledge of planning and conducting audits.
