Job Context:
Servest (Pty) Ltd, a leading Facilities Management Company, is offering a fixed-term (12 months) opportunity for an Operations Manager in its Cleaning Division. The position is based in Polokwane, reporting to the Branch Manager.
Minimum Requirements:
- Grade 12 certificate.
- 3 to 5 yearsβ experience in the cleaning industry.
- Clear criminal record.
- Valid driverβs license and reliable vehicle.
- Qualification in Operations or Business Management.
- Proficiency in MS Office (Outlook, Word, Excel).
- Strong interpersonal, communication, and leadership skills.
- Proven ability to enhance productivity through effective team collaboration.
- Experience in managing human resources (recruitment, training, performance management, staff welfare, health and safety).
Duties & Responsibilities:
Customer Service Intelligence (CSI):
- Develop and maintain systems to ensure adherence to client service level agreements (SLAs).
- Ensure efficient CSI, providing accurate, real-time, and valuable information to clients.
- Build and maintain relationships with key client contacts, including account managers.
- Establish and monitor cleaning plans for each building, ensuring alignment with SLAs.
- Conduct site visits to allocated locations, reporting on activities, results, and providing recommendations.
Operations & Resource Management:
- Oversee delivery and management of cleaning chemicals, consumables, and site equipment.
- Lead the start-up process for new contracts, including recruitment, induction, and creation of work schedules.
- Manage company assets and ensure compliance with insurance requirements.
- Control area performance, ensuring targets and budgets are met in line with policies and standards.
- Oversee direct expenses, overheads, and all factors impacting profitability in the area.
- Achieve monthly revenue targets and maintain customer satisfaction, while identifying opportunities for up-selling existing contracts.
Team & Human Resources Management:
- Recruit, train, evaluate, and motivate staff to ensure effective operations.
- Manage industrial relations within the area.
- Oversee staff scheduling, including time and attendance, leave, and overtime.
- Implement cleaner work schedules and regularly evaluate performance.
Compliance & Reporting:
- Adhere to company policies, procedures, and Servest Group values.
- Ensure continuous compliance with health, safety, and quality standards.
