Job Context:

Servest (Pty) Ltd, a leading Facilities Management Company, has an exciting opportunity for a Regional Sales Executive. The position is based at the Cape Town offices and is part of the Cleaning Division, reporting to the National Sales Manager.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Previous experience and knowledge in dealing with Executive Management and Key Client Accounts.
  • A high level of computer literacy.
  • At least 5 years of experience in a sales environment, preferably in the cleaning industry.
  • Strong reconciliation skills and excellent organizational abilities.
  • Experience working within a team environment.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.

Duties & Responsibilities:

Market Research & Sales Planning:

  • Conduct research activities within designated industries and sectors to understand facilities services requirements.
  • Develop an expert-level understanding of target industries, including key contacts, competitor activities, and relevant legislation or regulations.
  • Build and maintain a database of target clients in each sector, including full client profiles.
  • Plan and execute sales and marketing activities in alignment with budgets, sales volumes, and timeframes set by management.

Client Relationship Management:

  • Respond to sales inquiries via post, telephone, and personal visits.
  • Maintain and grow existing customer base through consistent communication and ethical selling methods.
  • Build long-term professional relationships with internal departments and divisions to optimize customer service and support business growth.

Sales Reporting & Performance Monitoring:

  • Monitor, report, and provide relevant management reports on sales activities and performance as required.
  • Conduct competitor and customer surveys as directed by management to inform business strategies.

Business Development & Customer Service:

  • Plan and manage allocated business areas according to agreed sales and market development strategies.
  • Ensure the highest customer service standards are maintained at all times.
  • Identify and develop group sales opportunities to maximize cross-selling potential within the organization.

Professional Development & Compliance:

  • Attend training sessions as required to enhance knowledge and skills.
  • Perform critical self-analysis to identify development needs and improve performance.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies and procedures.

Key Performance Indicators:

  • Consistent achievement of monthly and quarterly new business sales targets.
  • Profit margins (GP%) that meet or exceed required standards.
  • Growth in new business sales volumes and increased cross-selling potential across the group.
