Job Introduction:

G4S Cash Solutions (SA), a leading provider of integrated cash management solutions, is seeking a Driver for their Port Elizabeth operations. The role involves the guarding and handling of valuables in transit. As this position involves the use of firearms, candidates will be required to submit a valid medical certificate confirming their fitness to carry and utilize a firearm before employment begins. The certificate will be needed once a candidate is seriously considered for the position and must not be older than 3 months before the date of engagement.

Role Responsibilities:

• Guard and handle all valuables during transit.
• Drive a vehicle in the performance of duties.
• Maintain vehicle standards and comply with company procedures.
• Conduct vehicle audits and complete checklists.
• Ensure all equipment is working and accounted for.
• Report incidents and accidents to the branch and relevant authorities.
• Adhere to all traffic regulations and operate the vehicle responsibly.
• Comply with company security codes and procedures to protect crew and cargo.
• Conduct operational security drills and maintain vigilance.
• Report suspicious activity and take preventive action.
• Participate in safety forums and adhere to all safety policies.
• Wear protective clothing at all times.

Ideal Candidate Requirements:

• Grade 12.
• Valid PSIRA Certification.
• Valid PDP License.
• CIT (Cash in Transit) Certificate.
• Valid SAPS Firearm Competency (Business Purposes).
• Ability to work under pressure in a high-risk, fast-paced environment.
• Strong risk assessment skills.
• Teamwork and adherence to policies and procedures.
