Job Introduction:

G4S Secure Solutions (SA) has a vacancy for a Security Officer based at the United Manganese of Kalahari Mine in Hotazel, Northern Cape. The successful candidate will maintain company policy, adopt best practices, and contribute to achieving the company’s goals.

Role Responsibilities:

• Identify, prevent, and reduce security-related issues.
• Report on loss control matters.
• Maintain positive public and site relations.
• Control access and egress at the site.
• Adhere to site instructions and disciplinary codes.
• Maintain site-related documents.
• Liaise with clients via verbal or written reports.
• Participate in team-building activities and manage issued equipment.

Ideal Candidate:

Minimum Requirements:

• Grade 10+
• PSIRA Grade C certification
• Clear Criminal Record
• Physically fit (able to run 2.5 km)

Knowledge:

• G4S Standard Operating Procedures
• South African security legislation
• G4S Operational and HR policies
• Health and Safety legislation

Skills:

• Communication (written and verbal)
• Reporting and surveillance skills
• Lifting and safety management
