Sales Representative

Title: Sales Representative – Tzaneen

Purpose of the Position:

To sell and promote the Heineken Beverages brand portfolio within a designated geographical area. This role focuses on creating brand awareness, building strong customer relationships, and aligning with strategic objectives to increase market share.

Key Result Areas:

  • Market Share Growth:
    • Enhance brand accessibility, availability, activation, and affordability for clients.
    • Maintain competitive pricing strategies (RSP) and ensure compliance with promotions and power pack agreements.
  • Brand Promotion:
    • Promote a comprehensive brand portfolio, including beer, wine, spirits, and ready-to-drink (RTD) products across all categories.
  • Customer Relationship Management:
    • Build and maintain strong partnerships with customers.
    • Consistently meet call strike rate targets.
  • Business Improvement & Development:
    • Implement continuous business improvement initiatives.
    • Take responsibility for personal growth and contribute to the effectiveness of the team by demonstrating HEINEKEN behaviors.

Educational Qualifications:

  • Relevant Tertiary Qualification (Diploma/Degree).

Professional Experience & Personal Attributes:

  • 2-3 years of experience in FMCG or a related field.
  • Valid driver’s license (Code 08) with at least 2 years of driving experience.
  • Willingness to work weekends and participate in promotions.

    • Strong persuasive selling skills and effective negotiation tactics.
  • Commercial Insights:
    • Awareness of the commercial implications of day-to-day sales decisions.
  • Sales Process Management:
    • Understand the key drivers of sales across different channels.

    • Comprehensive understanding of product relevance by channel, cluster, and tier.
  • Strategic Sales Planning:
    • Ability to develop and implement sales strategies to drive brand growth.
  • Technology Application:
    • Proficient in using technology to optimize the sales process.
