Job Description:

The Apprentice Diesel Mechanic will utilize all opportunities to expand their knowledge in the diesel mechanic trade. Key responsibilities include:

• Carrying out service and repairs to vehicles efficiently under the supervision of a qualified Diesel Mechanic.
• Working as an understudy to a qualified Diesel Mechanic.
• Ensuring satisfactory completion of examinations and course tests.
• Attending technical college courses or other required training.
• Assisting qualified Diesel Mechanics as needed.
• Adhering to workshop quality, safety, and security procedures at all times.

Qualifications:

• Grade 12 Matric Certificate
• N2 with required subjects:
  • Mathematics
  • Engineering Science
  • Diesel Trade Theory

Skills:

• Good communication (oral and written) and interpersonal skills.
• Customer-focused with a results-driven approach.
• Pro-active, highly motivated, and detail-oriented.
• Ability to work well under pressure and maintain good customer relations.
• Computer literate.
• Proven intercultural competencies with fluent English business language skills.
