Job Description:

The Parts Sales Consultant will be responsible for maintaining and increasing sales volumes while adhering to budgeted margins. Key duties include:

  • Maximizing sales volume at the correct discount and budgeted margin.
  • Identifying new customers in the allocated area and managing customer data.
  • Regularly calling on existing customers as required by STM (Sales Territory Management).
  • Managing customer accounts and providing them with business management data to improve spending.
  • Keeping continuous records of customer contact details and scheduling regular follow-ups.
  • Ensuring the distribution of MAN parts through all trade sectors and customer bases.
  • Assisting with stock counts, handling stand-by duties, and covering for Parts Counter Salesman as needed.
  • Resolving customer queries and escalating issues to the Parts Manager where necessary.
  • Promoting and selling MAN parts, products, and campaigns to improve customer spend.
  • Maintaining and updating the STM system regularly.

Qualifications:

  • Grade 12 Matric Certificate

  • Pro-active, highly motivated, and detail-oriented.

  • Code EB driver’s license.

Experience:

  • 3 years of experience in commercial part sales with the ability to meet sales and margin targets (Essential).
