Job Description:

The Parts Manager will be responsible for overseeing the operations of the Parts Department, ensuring profitability, efficiency, and customer satisfaction. Key responsibilities include:

  • Achieving the budgeted turnover, profit margins, and Customer Satisfaction Measurement (CSM) targets.
  • Controlling the overall budget, including personnel and overhead costs.
  • Managing staff within the Parts Department.
  • Managing inventory to ensure optimum economic levels.
  • Overseeing stock-taking administration.
  • Meeting operational objectives, policies, and standards as per the dealer standards program.
  • Ensuring continuous growth in new customers and retention of existing ones.
  • Conducting regular customer on-site visits.

Qualifications:

  • Matric Certificate (Grade 12).

Skills:

  • Computer literacy.
  • Ability to work well under pressure while maintaining excellent customer relations.
  • Strong communication (oral and written) and interpersonal skills.
  • Customer-focused with a results-driven approach.
  • Pro-active, highly motivated, and detail-oriented.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Experience:

  • 5 years of experience leading and motivating a team.
  • 5 years of experience in a Parts Department within the automotive parts business.
