Job Description:

The SHEQ and Process Manager will be responsible for overseeing various quality, safety, and environmental management tasks, including:

  • Communicating targets and objectives clearly.
  • Ensuring quality of incoming parts and the vehicles released.
  • Managing the Vehicle Auditor and Receiving Inspection Consultant.
  • Conducting investigations into excess/return items (Red table investigations).
  • Identifying non-conformances and implementing countermeasures.
  • Overseeing rectification processes and ensuring timely communication with all staff.
  • Developing and implementing Quality and Environmental Management Systems.
  • Ensuring safe work practices and Health and Safety improvements.
  • Managing ISO audits and preparing SHEQ reports for distribution.
  • Monitoring product, MNPS, and SHE audit results on a monthly basis.
  • Ensuring site security and managing staff attendance and absentee cover.
  • Overseeing reject/excess parts assessments.

Qualifications:

  • Matric Certificate (Grade 12).
  • Relevant tertiary qualification, technical qualification, or comparable qualification.

  • Ability to encourage teamwork.
  • Strong project management, leadership, and organizational skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office products.
  • Ability to develop and motivate staff.
  • Flexible, active, and forward-thinking approach.

Experience:

  • 8 years of experience in a managerial role.
  • 5 years of experience in quality management systems (ISO9001, ISO14001, OHS18001).
  • 5 years of experience with MAN or similar products.
  • 1 year of experience with technical drawing and interpretation.
  • 1 year of knowledge of OHS ACT with suitable training (e.g., SAMTRAC).
  • 1 year of knowledge in road traffic ordinance and vehicle homologation.
