Description:
The Construction Education and Training Authority (CETA) offers a rewarding internship opportunity in Pretoria, designed to provide hands-on experience in various administrative, financial, and project management roles. This is an excellent chance to gain practical exposure within a public-sector setting.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform entry-level functionary tasks for the unit.
- Handle correspondence, enquiries, and maintain unit records and files.
- Provide administrative support in budgeting processes.
- Assist with data collation, preparation of monthly and quarterly reports, and audits.
- Prepare meeting agendas, take minutes, and assist with presentations.
- Engage in rotational planning to gain exposure to various departmental tasks.
- Participate in quarterly progress reviews and assist with ad-hoc delegated tasks.
Core Competencies:
Interns will develop competencies in:
- Understanding CETA as a corporate entity and the broader SETA landscape.
- Acquiring theoretical knowledge of the specific departments or units within CETA.
- Familiarity with regulatory laws and frameworks such as the Skills Development Act, PFMA, Tax laws, BBBEE, and Employment Equity.
- Practical experience in business administration and project management.
Entry Requirements:
- South African citizen under 35 years old with a valid South African ID.
- A post-matric qualification from a recognized institution.
- Must not have participated in a previous SETA-sponsored internship.
- Must not have previous work experience.
- Submit a detailed CV, motivation letter, certified copies of ID, and academic qualifications.
Preferred Qualifications:
- ND in Business Management or Project Management.
- ND/BTech/Degree in Office Administration, Accounting, Public Administration, or Business Administration.
- ND in Management Assistant or equivalent.
