Description:

Kickstart your career with a dynamic internship in project management, office administration, and data analysis. This is an excellent opportunity for individuals eager to gain hands-on experience in financial reporting, budget coordination, and administrative tasks, while working within a public sector environment.

As an intern, you will:

  • Perform entry-level administrative duties to assist the unit’s operations.
  • Handle correspondence, manage records, and maintain organized files.
  • Provide support for budgeting processes, including financial analysis and data reporting.
  • Contribute to gathering information for audits and preparing quarterly financial reports.
  • Assist with data management, meeting preparation, and taking minutes.
  • Participate in creating presentations and working on cross-functional tasks.
  • Engage in a rotational program to gain experience across different departments and divisions.

This internship offers exposure to:

  • High-demand fields like project management, financial reporting, and data entry.
  • The SETA landscape, with a strong focus on compliance with relevant laws such as the Skills Development Act, PFMA, BBBEE, and tax regulations.
  • Developing skills in administrative support, business strategy, and corporate governance.

Core Competencies to Develop:

  • In-depth understanding of CETA’s role in the public and corporate sector, with exposure to the broader SETA network.
  • Hands-on experience in financial planning, data analysis, and project coordination.
  • Familiarity with regulatory frameworks such as Employment Equity, BBBEE, and Affirmative Action policies.

Entry Requirements:

  • South African citizen under 35 years of age with a valid South African ID.
  • Relevant post-matric qualification from a recognized institution.
  • No prior participation in SETA internships or previous employment.
  • Submission of a detailed CV and a motivation letter is required for consideration.
  • Certified copies of ID and academic qualifications must be submitted.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • ND in Business Management or Project Management.
  • ND/BTech/Degree in Office Administration, Accounting, Public Administration, or Business Administration.
  • ND in Management Assistant or equivalent qualifications.
