Purpose & Overall Relevance:
The Inbound Specialist is responsible for managing all inbound logistics until shipments are fully received in the system. This includes overseeing inbound planning, customs clearance, and inbound distribution center (DC) operations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Verify shipping instructions and ensure cargo is delivered as per the instructions.
- Manage local sourcing and inland transportation.
- Collaborate with third-party logistics (3PL) providers to ensure cargo is received on-time, in-full (OTIF).
- Ensure all cargo is customs-cleared before arrival, working with brokers and handling paperwork and invoicing.
- Approve freight billing related to inbound shipments.
- Update the Inbound Tracker daily and provide estimated times of arrival (ETAs) to relevant stakeholders.
- Prepare weekly inbound reports.
- Provide end-to-end COS ACT monthly reporting.
- Prepare end-to-end COS rolling forecasts for quarterly budgeting.
- Manage exceptional costs and track transport lead times (TLT) adjustments.
- Conduct ASN checks and maintain IBDs in the warehouse management system (WMS).
- Log claims related to carriers and forwarders regularly.
- Assist in gathering data for the yearly global customs report.
- Ensure all goods receipts (GR) are completed, and deliveries are put away within the agreed SLA.
- Respond to team queries, solve problems affecting performance, and escalate when needed.
- Monitor and update others on KPI performance, and take actions to influence cost/productivity metrics.
- Collaborate with various functions to ensure effective inbound operations.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
- Experience managing import shipments and customs, particularly inbound operations.
- Proficient in SAP and Microsoft Office.
- Strong communication, interpersonal, and administrative skills.
- Ability to work under pressure and independently resolve operational issues.
- Goal-oriented, analytical, and proactive with sound leadership skills.
- Strong customer service orientation and the ability to develop trust with stakeholders.
Education and Experience:
- Degree or Diploma in Supply Chain Management or Business Management (preferred).
- 3-5 years of experience in Supply Chain, Logistics, or Customer Service.
- Competent user of Microsoft Office applications.
