Overview:
We are seeking a skilled Boilermaker to fabricate and install boilers and large containers used to house gases or liquids like oil. This role involves working with blueprints, tools, and machinery to craft and maintain these structures, ensuring they meet safety standards and perform efficiently. This position is perfect for someone with a passion for precision and a proven ability to handle industrial tasks.

Qualifications:

• Grade 12 or equivalent
• Qualified Artisan

Experience:

• 3 years’ demonstrated experience as a Boilermaker
• Proven knowledge of machines and tools, including design, use, repair, and maintenance
• Experience using electrical or manual tools (saws, squares, calipers, etc.)

Key Responsibilities:

• Reading blueprints: Follow drawings to manufacture tanks and structures, aligning and assembling sections according to specifications
• Fabrication: Cast pieces and bend them into shape, ensuring section edges fit correctly before bolting or welding them together
• Maintenance: Perform regular inspections, checking tanks and structures for leaks or weak points and ensuring they comply with safety standards
• Hazard Identification: Understand and manage risks related to handling hazardous materials in compliance with industry regulations and the Occupational Health and Safety Act
