Overview:

Qualifications:

• Grade 12
• Bachelor’s degree in Mining/Engineering or equivalent
• Blasting Ticket

Experience:

• 2 years’ experience in mining/explosives environment
• 2 years’ experience in surface blasting
• 2 years’ experience in AXXIS mining technology or equivalent (preferred)

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide technical support and training to operations and clients on blast implementation
• Offer advanced technical advice on blast optimization using cutting-edge technology like drones, 3GSM, and face profiling software
• Maintain strong relationships with both internal and external customers, ensuring smooth communication and support
• Conduct physical fieldwork to monitor and evaluate blasting performance
• Analyze data collected from blasting monitoring equipment to optimize operations
• Act as a key liaison for technical queries, troubleshooting, and enhancing blast outcomes

Job Competencies:

• Strong interpersonal skills for building and maintaining customer relationships
• Ability to conduct fieldwork, using monitoring equipment to assess performance and provide solutions
• Highly motivated, with a keen desire to learn and progress in the field of blasting technology
• Willingness to travel extensively, including staying away from home and working outside normal hours when required
