Job Description:
We are seeking a Co-Ordinator Liquor to optimize the performance of Liquor departments by ensuring that in-store execution aligns with the commercial strategy, guidelines, and standards across regions. This role involves monitoring, regulating, and assisting corporate stores in adhering to best practices and enhancing operational efficiency.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Matric / Grade 12 (Retail Management Diploma advantageous).
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in Liquor Management.
  • In-depth knowledge of store operations processes and procedures.
  • Excellent understanding of fresh operations in retail.
  • Valid South African ID.
  • Valid Driver’s License.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Guide corporate stores in the execution of SOPs.
  • Implement the commercial strategy within corporate stores to maintain brand integrity.
  • Provide critical insights into specific market opportunities.
  • Identify and recommend the removal of non-selling products within the network and at the site level.
  • Ensure optimal range availability and daily stock rotation to minimize shrinkage.
  • Guide corporate stores and regional specialists on budgeted turnover.
  • Monitor the financial performance of Liquor departments and address any deviations.
  • Procure stock and manage promotions to ensure competitive pricing.
  • Communicate weekly negotiated price lists to the network.
  • Define layout and range requirements for stores; make recommendations.
  • Sign off on plans for new and revamped stores and monitor launch readiness.
  • Identify new products and make recommendations for selection based on demographics.
  • Ensure correct administrative procedures for product sales.
  • Identify customer needs related to Liquor and implement plans to meet those needs.
  • Train staff on SOP implementation.
  • Engage continually with the commercial team.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with suppliers, ensuring alignment with company values.
