Job Description:
We are looking for a dedicated Receiving Manager to join our team. The ideal candidate will oversee the accurate receiving of deliveries, the despatch of returns to vendors, and minimize shrinkage risk at receiving doors. This role also involves managing stock disposal according to company policies and handling all administrative functions related to receiving procedures, including entry control for visitors and merchandisers.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Receive and return goods systematically and accurately per company policies and procedures.
  • Conduct quality checks on all received goods and maintain the cold chain where necessary.
  • Ensure high standards of hygiene, housekeeping, and safe working practices.
  • Adhere to security procedures and assist with security measures at receiving doors.
  • Prevent wastage, shrinkage, and damages by implementing effective controls.
  • Complete all relevant administrative tasks and documentation related to receiving.
  • Operate equipment following company standards and safety protocols.
  • Communicate effectively with employees, management, customers, and suppliers.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Matric/Grade 12.
  • 2 – 3 years of experience as a Receiving Supervisor.
  • Ability to read and interpret reports and achieve results through team management.
  • Willingness to work long and flexible retail hours, including in physically demanding and pressurized environments.
  • Ability to work in all weather conditions while receiving goods in open areas.
