Job Description:
Join the Hollywoodbets Purple Team as a Human Resources Consultant at our Pinetown Regional Office. This role involves providing comprehensive HR support, including workforce planning, succession planning, and industrial relations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Recruitment and Selection:
    • Manage the recruitment process up to middle management level, including drafting advertisements, shortlisting candidates, and coordinating interviews.
    • Ensure all pre-employment checks are completed and feedback is provided to all candidates.
    • Maintain accurate recruitment records and ensure new employee details are submitted to Payroll on time.
  • Onboarding:
    • Oversee the onboarding process and ensure new team members are properly inducted.
  • Performance Management:
    • Assist in rolling out job descriptions and performance management processes.
    • Ensure performance agreements are signed and evaluations are conducted effectively.
    • Provide training for managers on performance evaluations and manage the performance process.
  • Talent Management / Succession Planning:
    • Identify and develop talent within the organization and implement retention strategies.
    • Facilitate career discussions and create individual development plans.
  • Employment Equity:
    • Organize Employment Equity meetings and ensure compliance with Equity policies during recruitment and promotions.
  • Industrial Relations:
    • Implement and report on industrial relations practices.
    • Manage hearings, dismissals, and keep up to date with CCMA cases.
  • Injury on Duty:
    • Manage the IOD process, including logging claims and following up on statuses.
  • Terminations:
    • Handle terminations, conduct exit interviews, and identify trends.
  • Reporting:
    • Prepare and present monthly catch-up reports and update consolidated reports.
  • Communication:
    • Efficiently communicate HR policies and strategic campaigns within the portfolio.
  • Values & Ethics:
    • Promote Hollywoodbets’ values and lead by example.

Skills and Competencies:

  • Valid Driver’s license.
  • 2-3 years’ experience in an HR role or equivalent.
  • Knowledge of Labour Legislation (EE Act, BCEA, Labour Relations) is advantageous.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and accountability.
  • Ability to build and maintain strong relationships.
  • Sound interview skills, attention to detail, and understanding of industrial relations.
