Job Description:
Hollywoodbets, one of South Africa’s leading brands in the Gaming and Betting industry, is seeking a dynamic and motivated Team Leader to join our branch in Hendrina, Mpumalanga. As a part of the Hollywoodbets Purple Team, you will be responsible for managing branch operations to achieve business objectives in line with the Regional and Retail Operations strategy. Key Responsibilities:
- Branch Growth:
- Achieve targets in line with branch budgets and goals.
- Engage with guests to educate them about branch products and services.
- Ensure betting boards, memos, card changes, results, and scratchings are updated promptly.
- Be knowledgeable of game rules, odds, pay-outs, and operational procedures.
- Cash Administration:
- Manage branch cash processes to minimize risks, theft, and fraud.
- Educate team members on FICA compliance and ensure adherence to cash handling policies.
- Oversee daily banking schedules and ensure correct float management and reconciliation.
- Handle lost ticket claims and manage recovery processes according to set procedures.
- Branch Reporting:
- Provide daily operational updates and manage branch stock control to maintain adequate supply.
- Conduct weekly stock takes and report shortages promptly to management.
- Security Management:
- Ensure security protocols are followed during opening, closing, and banking procedures.
- Monitor security equipment and maintain overall branch safety.
- Branch Appearance:
- Maintain branch cleanliness and ensure facilities are in good working condition.
- Address equipment issues promptly and adhere to company standards to prevent losses.
- Compliance:
- Ensure compliance with company policies, legal requirements, and Gambling Board regulations.
- Maintain ethical standards and report any fraudulent activities.
- Ensure proper FICA officer presence and compliance with all operational and legislative requirements.
- Communication:
- Ensure clear and effective communication within the branch.
- Keep team members informed about key business updates, campaigns, and marketing activities.
- People Management:
- Manage team rosters, attendance, and behavior in coordination with senior management.
- Oversee recruitment documentation and ensure timely submission to HR.
- Guest Service:
- Provide excellent guest service and proactively address complaints.
- Foster a guest-centric culture within the branch, emphasizing “service with a smile.”
- Values:

- Work closely with management to suggest improvements and enhance the guest experience.

Additional Requirements:
- Minimum of 6 months experience in the Gaming or Betting industry is advantageous.
- Relevant Diploma, Degree, or NQF 4 Learnership preferred.
- 1-2 years of leadership experience.
- Valid driver’s license.
