Job Purpose:
The Shopper & Driver Supervisor will effectively coach and lead a team to achieve agreed goals, develop team performance, and demonstrate desired skills and work ethic. This role involves daily management of operations, problem-solving, and ensuring exceptional service delivery.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and supervise a team of Shoppers and Drivers to ensure flawless daily service delivery.
- Conduct spot checks on uniforms, orders, attendance, and adherence to processes.
- Troubleshoot operational issues with an analytical, problem-solving mindset.
- Provide logistics insight to ensure best practices and protocols.
- Manage team performance to achieve KPIs related to on-time fulfillment and report on performance regularly.
- Train and develop Shoppers, ensuring consistent application of procedures.
- Allocate schedules and manage store orders effectively.
- Conduct staff meetings to improve motivation and communication.
- Facilitate training and coaching for staff to enhance service delivery.
- Manage and resolve staff and customer queries efficiently.
- Handle escalated customer complaints and provide feedback to the Area Manager.
- Identify training needs and initiate training for staff improvement.
- Provide weekly performance feedback and ensure accuracy in reporting.
Staff Management:
- Ensure proper scheduling and management of store orders.
- Facilitate training, staff motivation, and effective communication.
- Monitor attendance and performance, addressing any issues promptly.
Complaints Management:
- Address shopper and driver queries.
- Resolve escalated customer complaints and report unresolved queries.
- Anticipate potential problems and take preventative action.
Qualifications and Requirements:
- Eligible to work in South Africa.
- Valid South African driver’s license or Professional Driving Permit (PrDP).
- Clean driving record.
- Own vehicle or motorbike (with registration documents).
- Access to a recent smartphone (iPhone 5 / Android 4.4 or newer).
- 2-3 years of experience in a Team Leader role.

- Professional communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Strong planning, organizing, and interpersonal skills.
