Job Purpose:
The Shopper & Driver Supervisor will effectively coach and lead a team to achieve agreed goals, develop team performance, and demonstrate desired skills and work ethic. This role involves daily management of operations, problem-solving, and ensuring exceptional service delivery.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and supervise a team of Shoppers and Drivers to ensure flawless daily service delivery.
  • Conduct spot checks on uniforms, orders, attendance, and adherence to processes.
  • Troubleshoot operational issues with an analytical, problem-solving mindset.
  • Provide logistics insight to ensure best practices and protocols.
  • Manage team performance to achieve KPIs related to on-time fulfillment and report on performance regularly.
  • Train and develop Shoppers, ensuring consistent application of procedures.
  • Allocate schedules and manage store orders effectively.
  • Conduct staff meetings to improve motivation and communication.
  • Facilitate training and coaching for staff to enhance service delivery.
  • Manage and resolve staff and customer queries efficiently.
  • Handle escalated customer complaints and provide feedback to the Area Manager.
  • Identify training needs and initiate training for staff improvement.
  • Provide weekly performance feedback and ensure accuracy in reporting.

Staff Management:

  • Ensure proper scheduling and management of store orders.
  • Facilitate training, staff motivation, and effective communication.
  • Monitor attendance and performance, addressing any issues promptly.

Complaints Management:

  • Address shopper and driver queries.
  • Resolve escalated customer complaints and report unresolved queries.
  • Anticipate potential problems and take preventative action.

Qualifications and Requirements:

  • Eligible to work in South Africa.
  • Valid South African driver’s license or Professional Driving Permit (PrDP).
  • Clean driving record.
  • Own vehicle or motorbike (with registration documents).
  • Access to a recent smartphone (iPhone 5 / Android 4.4 or newer).
  • 2-3 years of experience in a Team Leader role.

  • Strong planning, organizing, and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to build and maintain relationships, work independently, and handle pressure.
