Job Overview:

We are looking for a skilled and experienced Code 14 Driver to join our team at Country Bird Holding Supreme in Tigane, North West. This role is essential in ensuring the safe and efficient transportation of goods using ultra-heavy vehicles. The successful candidate will have extensive experience with Superlink/Interlink combinations, a strong focus on safety, and the ability to work flexible hours, including weekends and public holidays.

Key Responsibilities:

• Vehicle Preparation: Prepare the vehicle for trips, ensuring that it is in optimal condition and complies with safety standards.
• Transportation Duties: Load, transport, and offload goods safely and efficiently using ultra-heavy vehicles.
• Documentation: Handle and process all required documentation related to transportation and delivery.
• Compliance: Follow all reasonable instructions from the Supervisor and adhere to company policies and procedures.
• Shift Work: Be willing and available to work shifts, including weekends and public holidays, as required.
• Vehicle Maintenance: Maintain cleanliness and proper functioning of the vehicle, as well as ensure the upkeep of uniforms and PPE.
• Safety Adherence: Strictly follow Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and safety protocols to ensure a safe working environment.
• Medical and Training Compliance: Successfully complete medical evaluations, USCS training modules, induction processes, and practical driving evaluations.

Qualifications & Skills Required:

• Education: Matric (Grade 12) with a National Certificate.
• Licensing: Valid Code EC (Code 14) driver’s license with a valid PrDP.
• Experience: A minimum of 3 years of experience driving ultra-heavy vehicles, including Superlink/Interlink or combination vehicles.
• Defensive Driving: Proficiency in defensive driving techniques and emergency procedures.
• Technical Knowledge: Skilled in vehicle inspections, operating fire extinguishers, and maximizing vehicle cost-effectiveness.
