Job Summary:
Clicks is seeking a Store Manager for their Leaping Frog branch in Fourways. The role involves leading the store operations team to achieve sales, profit, and compliance targets, thereby providing a competitive advantage for the brand.
Key Responsibilities:
- Achieve store financial performance by driving sales, tracking targets, and executing sales plans.
- Manage all operational activities, including expenses, stock management, shrinkage, housekeeping, and administration.
- Ensure effective in-store visual merchandising aligned with brand standards.
- Lead and develop employees to build capacity for current and future business needs.
- Schedule staff in accordance with the Group’s labour policy to ensure full and appropriate staffing.
- Efficiently manage administrative responsibilities, including time and attendance records.
- Execute customer service initiatives to enhance customer experience and loyalty.
- Build and maintain relationships with stakeholders such as centre managers, suppliers, and distribution centres.
- Monitor customer trends and competitor activity to identify and capitalize on opportunities.
- Foster cohesion between store operations, pharmacy, and clinic teams.
- Promote a high-performance business culture that values employee engagement and customer satisfaction.

Knowledge and Skills:
- Understanding of financial management principles.
- Strong retail/FMCG background with merchandising and promotions knowledge.
- Familiarity with stock, cost, risk, and compliance management procedures.
- Expertise in customer service excellence.
- Knowledge of labour legislation and IR practices.
- Proficient in competency-based interviewing.
- Strong managerial, planning, and problem-solving skills.
- Results-driven with a strong customer orientation and financial acumen.
- Computer literacy and good communication skills.

Minimum Requirements:
Experience:
- At least 5 years’ experience in a store management role in a retail/FMCG environment with a turnover of R50 million or more.
- Extensive experience managing a large and diverse workforce.
- Financial management experience, including budgets and profit and loss statements.
Education:
- Essential: Grade 12 with at least 50% in Maths and English.
- Essential: B. Degree or Diploma in retail, finance management, pharmacy, or a related field for external applicants.
