Job Description:
As a Sales Consultant (Funeral) at 1Life Insurance, you will be responsible for building and maintaining customer relationships, identifying sales opportunities, and promoting funeral insurance products to potential and existing clients. This role emphasizes telephonic sales, customer service, and compliance with organizational standards.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Customer Relationships Development:
    • Conduct calls to existing customers to offer new products and services.
  2. Customer Needs Clarification:
    • Interview customers using a multi-level sales script to understand their requirements and make detailed notes for future reference.
  3. Sell Customer Propositions:
    • Identify suitable products/services that meet customer needs and influence them to purchase by explaining the benefits and solutions offered.
  4. Operational Compliance:
    • Adhere to the organization’s policies, procedures, and regulatory codes to ensure that work meets the required standards.
  5. Customer Relationship Management (CRM) Data:
    • Update the CRM system with relevant customer information after each contact to maintain quality data for business development activities.
  6. Performance Management:
    • Manage and prioritize workflow to meet performance standards and use performance management systems to enhance personal effectiveness.
  7. Personal Capability Building:
    • Stay updated on changes in internal policies, procedures, and industry regulations through online training and formal assessments.
  8. Sales Opportunities Creation:
    • Identify potential customers through referrals and recommendations from existing clients.

Job Requirements:

  • Education:
    • Must be within DOFA date.
    • Matric / Grade 12 or SAQA Accredited Equivalent (Essential).
    • Regulatory Exam 5 (Advantageous).
    • 120 FAIS Credits (Advantageous).
  • Experience:
    • 2+ years of telephonic sales experience (Essential).
    • Experience in cold calling (Advantageous).
