The role focuses on promoting and selling tractors and farming implements, engaging directly with farmers to assess their needs, introduce relevant products, and manage the complete sales process.
Job Description:
The Marketer will represent AFGRI Equipment by marketing and selling tractors and farming implements. This includes visiting farmers to assess their needs, demonstrating equipment, and managing the sales process. Key responsibilities include promoting John Deere products, conducting demonstrations, attending agricultural shows, and ensuring customer satisfaction.
Key Responsibilities:
- Marketing and Sales: Promote and sell tractors, combines, and farming implements.
- Customer Interaction: Visit farmers to assess their needs and introduce suitable products.
- Sales Management: Oversee the sales process from initial contact to final sale.
- Demonstrations: Showcase equipment capabilities to potential customers.
- Events: Participate in agricultural shows and marketing events.
- Reporting: Maintain records and report on sales and marketing activities.
- Stock Control: Manage procurement and inventory related to agricultural equipment.
Job Requirements:
Education and Training:
- Grade 12
- Tertiary qualification in Business Administration, Sales, or Marketing (advantageous).
Experience:
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in business, sales, and marketing with John Deere equipment.
- Experience in marketing agricultural equipment is advantageous.
- Strong client service exposure.
Technical Knowledge/Competencies:
- Valid driver’s license.
- Ability to close business transactions effectively.
- Technical knowledge of AFGRI and John Deere equipment.
- Understanding of agriculture and farming practices.
- Excellent verbal communication skills.

- Willingness to travel frequently.
