Job Description:
Motus Ford Kroonstad is seeking an experienced and qualified Technician to join the team. The successful candidate will be responsible for diagnosing and repairing faults, conducting vehicle services, and ensuring customer satisfaction with high-quality technical expertise. The role also includes mentoring Apprentices in line with MerSETA requirements.

Position Overview:
The Qualified Technician will work closely with the Foreman and Service Manager, providing diagnostic support, conducting repairs, and ensuring that all work meets OEM standards. The role requires active engagement with customers, service advisors, and team members to maintain high service delivery values.

Specific Role Responsibilities:

• Perform diagnostic work and support mechanics as required.
• Identify faults to expedite vehicle servicing and maintain target servicing times.
• Communicate effectively with service advisors, customers, and other team members.
• Ensure vehicles are returned to customers clean and in good condition.
• Complete necessary training as required by the OEM, including online and classroom-based training.
• Conduct administrative tasks, including completing forms, reports, and mentoring apprentices.
• Maintain high standards of vehicle care and safety.
• Participate in marketing campaigns and other business activities as required.

Qualifications and Experience:

• Qualified Technician with a minimum of 3-5 years of post-qualification experience.
• Ford technician experience is highly preferred.
• Relevant OEM product training is advantageous.
• Proven track record of effective diagnosis and repair (fix right first time).
• Proficient in using manufacturer diagnostic equipment and computers.
• Strong problem-solving skills and mechanical insight.
• Sound communication and writing skills in English.
• Meticulous attention to detail and customer orientation.
• Valid, unendorsed driver’s license.
