Job Introduction
G4S Deposita, a renowned Cash Management Company specializing in Smart Solutions for the banking, retail, and wholesale sectors, seeks a Field Technician in Johannesburg East Rand. The role, reporting to the Operations Manager, involves installing, repairing, and maintaining ABMs and docking stations. The ideal candidate will be a self-starter with a strong commitment to company policies, best practices, and sound judgment in achieving organizational goals.

Role Responsibility

  1. Effective Management of Installations and Maintenance
    • Complete installations and uninstallations of ABMs.
    • Train customers on new ABM operations.
    • Install and maintain docking stations and ABMs, including new modifications.
  2. Effective Management of Operational Excellence
    • Address customer needs promptly and ensure high workmanship standards.
    • Complete SLAs according to business agreements and maintain issued equipment.
    • Collect and manage faulty canisters from the cash center for repairs.
    • Adhere to monthly maintenance schedules per SLA agreements.
    • Accurately log calls in the system for reference, billing, and statistics.
  3. Effective Management of Client Retention
    • Ensure customer satisfaction by providing effective training on devices.
  4. Effective Management of Customer Service
    • Perform on-site spot fixing and adhere to SLA time limits for technical call-outs.
    • Be available for extended hours as required.
  5. Health and Safety
    • Engage in safety plan development and implementation at branch, region, and national levels.
    • Participate in company safety forums, report incidents, and attend safety training programs.
    • Adhere to safety policies, wear protective clothing, and distribute safety information as needed.

The Ideal Candidate

  • Qualifications & Technical Experience:
    • Grade 12 / NQF Level 4
    • Valid driver’s license
    • Electrical and technical skills
  • Skills and Attributes:
    • Strong customer service skills
    • Ability to handle challenging circumstances
    • Attention to detail
    • Ability to work under pressure
